Ceramics
Silica powder, or quartz powder is heavily used for ceramic bodies and glazes. Quartz’ high propensity to be unchanged during the firing process in kilns as they become embedded aggregates. The quartz particles ultimately becomes a part of the chemical structure of the end product.
